Hello from the new students on MA Fashion Cultures at the London College of Fashion!

Last year’s students are currently in the final throes of dissertation-writing, so this blog now has changed hands. There have been a few changes to the course for 2015/16; most obviously, it is now entitled MA Fashion Cultures, and lasts 12 months. However the ethos of the course seems to be largely similar, and we have an exciting programme planned for this blog over the coming academic year!

We are a group of 11, from very different cultural and industry backgrounds. It will be interesting to see how these diverse influences will take our work in a range of directions. Research interests include fashion and art, colonialism, and consumerism; gender, the domestic, and subcultures; freedom and anti-fashion. All this and much more will be touched upon in the blog in the months to come.
